16-19 Bursary Application

Academic Year 2026-2027 

The 16-19 Bursary Fund provides financial support to help students overcome financial barriers and remain in education.

Academic Year 2026-2027 applications will open in September.

Two types of bursary are available:

Vulnerable Group Bursary - up to £1,200 per year for students who are in care, care leavers or receiving certain benefits in their own name.

Discretionary Bursary - for students facing financial hardship, including those from households with an income below £35,000 or who were eligible for free school meals in Year 11.

All applications are considered individually based on eligibility, financial need and participation costs.

Closing date for applications - 11th September 2026.

• Meals at school
• Essential study resources
• Course-related trips and travel

All awards are subject to students meeting expectations for attendance, academic progress and behaviour.
