Oxbridge & Medicine Programme
New College Step Up Programme:
Our Sixth Form is proud to be one of two institutions in Leeds selected to participate in the prestigious New College Step Up Programme, in partnership with the University of Oxford. As one of only 43 Sixth Form colleges nationwide involved, our students benefit from three years of dedicated support, starting in Year 11.
This programme offers tailored guidance on applying to Oxbridge, including bespoke personal statement workshops focused on the new style of UCAS questions for 2026 entry, mock interview preparation and a fully subsidised residential experience at New College. Additionally, students will have the invaluable support of a personal tutor from the university throughout their time with us.
Cambridge HE+ Programme:
Our Sixth Form is proud to be part of the HE+ Programme, run by the University of Cambridge and its partner Colleges. Through our membership of the Bradford HE+ hub, our students join a network of academically ambitious students from across the region, receiving specialist support and enrichment designed to prepare them for applications to highly selective universities.
The year-long programme provides a wealth of opportunities, including academic workshops, Cambridge-led events, university-style learning experiences, personal statement support and a dedicated visit to Queens’ College, Cambridge. Students also benefit from guidance from Cambridge outreach specialists, access to university open days and opportunities to develop the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to succeed in competitive higher education pathways.
