Welcome from our Headteacher

Pudsey Grammar School has been at the heart of our local community for 116 years and we are proud of our strong links with the town and the surrounding area.  We are a heavily oversubscribed non-selective 11 to 18 year old school of over 1200 students and an excellent Sixth Form which has been developed and expanded to teach over 260 students a full curriculum of A levels and vocational courses.  Through our high quality curriculum and inspirational teaching we ensure that all of our students are given an exceptional education and provided with an impressive range of experiences which develop their true potential and prepare them for their future careers. Our excellent staff are dedicated to ensuring that our students reach their true potential, along with providing them with guidance, care and support underpinned by our values of respect, resilience, integrity, compassion and ambition.

We believe that the key purpose of a school is to provide an inspirational education which passes on the very best knowledge from previous generations, along with the latest developments and breakthroughs, to inspire our students and allow them to go on to make a significant contribution to the world in their future lives.  We also believe that we must guide and support our students so that they develop and grow in confidence outside of the classroom too.  Our new House system will provide students with excellent opportunities to get involved in a wide variety of exciting activities and earn valuable points for their House.  Each House will consist of students from Year 7 to 13 and will provide a community within the school to which each student and member of staff will belong.

In our contact pages you will also find the email addresses of key staff if you want to contact specific teachers directly.  We would advise parents with a subject query to contact the Subject Leader in the first instance and if it is a pastoral support matter to contact the Year Leader.

If you would like further information about our school, our Sixth Form or you would like to arrange a visit please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
