Bursary 16-19 Application

16-19 Bursary – Academic Year 2025-2026

The 16-19 Bursary Fund provides financial support to help students overcome financial barriers and remain in education.

Two types of bursary are available:

Vulnerable Group Bursary - up to £1,200 per year for students who are in care, care leavers or receiving certain benefits in their own name.

Discretionary Bursary - for students facing financial hardship, including those from households with an income below £28,500 or who were eligible for free school meals in Year 11.

Bursary support can help with

• Transport
• Meals at school
• Essential study resources
• Course-related trips and travel

All awards are subject to students meeting expectations for attendance, academic progress and behaviour.

Applications close: 12th September 2025
