Design and technology is taught as a carousel with students taking food technology, product design and textiles throughout the year for a term at a time.
Students in Year 7 can also study the Mandarin Excellence Programme which is an intensive language programme. Students taking part in this will miss some non-core lessons and have some twilight (period 7) lessons.
For modern foreign languages students are assigned a language (French or Spanish) in Year 7 and continue to study that language throughout KS3.
